Oh the soldiers are chasing me A lot of things that I had to steal To find a way to escape Came round the corner to an alleyway Although the chasers have gone astray I have to leave this bay I’m still way too young to face this threat They want to see me trapped and hanged I’ve no more reasons to stay There’s a walker staring with a trustless face And I don’t mind being betrayed People are the same They’re all the same… At the port I meet my Henry He’s a friend in need He knows a smuggler departing Say goodbye to my Emily She’s a keeper at Joe’s inn For long, she hasn’t talked to me As I can’t wash my sins off Emily said I made a big mistake She was out of her mind when she saw my shade On the windowpane I said I was sorry being bad to her Putting her life to such danger On that crucial day She sighed and she asked me to leave her place But I had a reason to hesitate Still longing for an embrace But she turned her back and I had no time Her tongue was tied but I knew she cried She was a mourning fay And now I’m a stowaway And she’s far far away now Nave mercantile Refugees in her chest Let them have a long lull Nave mercantile Let me leave this land Cover me in your dark hull

Far out on the dark blue waters The ocean leads one’s fate And thats exactly how Captain Sturgess Crossed the Queen Ann’s way “Rise, rise! The pirates have come for our lives Fight, fight! Tonight we cannot die!” Sturgess’ fearsome figure Intimidated all his men So the men were all loading the cannons And tightened the sails with all their strength “Rise, rise! These bastards have come for our lives Fight, fight! This isn’t the final hour!” But oh, the truth is cruel For by midnight Teach owned crew and ship But hark! In the distance a flash of white light But hark! There’s rumble in Heavens up high But hark! The great black sky starts pouring down And suddenly the hurricane strikes them with full might By the morning light Debris littered the sight And Sturgess floted on a broken board Good fortune on his side Rise, rise! The ocean is breaking your life Fight, fight, until your last hour

We’ve been sailing for two months and a week No sign of land, no ships, there’s just waves, after waves, after waves of salt water… Where did we come from? Where do we go? Brand new leaders of a brand new world, ha! We set out to find, but oh, what false conceptions Avid mirage of foolish eyes I’m a captain who is loyal but sane Leading a crew that’s nearly deranged Trying to serve my King and my country But out here, I’ve got a feeling that my country ceased to care about me Climate’s killing, food stocks are down All booze is gone and there’s no women in sight, not single sweet lady to brighten a soldier’s heart A grim outlook, no stimuli My men’s aggravation’s on the rise And I don’t know what to do about it An air of mutiny soaks my ship’s sails I’m a captain who’s loyal but sane Leading a crew that’s already raged Trying to serve my King and my country But out here, I’ve got a feeling that my luck chooses to walk out on me So one night the madness begins With Lieutenant Grayson drawing his sword on me He says “Captain we have chewed the fat and things are a-change We’re tired and we’re hungry and we won’t be killed So your choice is to turn this ship around or to jump into the sea” And I don’t reply, I just jump overboard I was a captain more loyal than sane I lead a crew of men who have forsaken me I’ve tried so hard to serve my King and country But my God chooses to put me on a road towards some darker days

There’s a shore where sea dogs go, A strand of black desire An island where they trap themselves To spree away their lives Staggering through the Caribbean fog Towards the glimmering lights Lured by the clouds of opiates that flood them in the night On Wasters’ Island there’s not one Not a single steady head World travellers who have gone to the end Smell of substance everywhere, more smoke then there is air Puffed-up lads lie on the ground just gazing away their time Where they come from no one knows but no one really cares Its a sanctuary for long lost souls who want to end. On Wasters’ Island there’s not one Not a single steady head World travellers who have gone to the end Then came back On Wasters’ Island there’s not one Not a single steady head Old sea dogs who got nothing from the end (World travellers who have gone to the end)

We know where the kids are hiding Hiding from the mandatory marching Lazy, coward, unambitious striplings all they are And will never learn to take care of their officers in charge They didn’t want to join the holy army They’ve been drinking and attending dirty parties, Dancing with the nation’s enemies instead, all night And the morning after never sees them dressed well in their tights (No place to go) (No place, no hope for us) (Shut the doors!) (There’s no place to go!) (Shut the doors!) (Hide the girls and the boys!) (The soldiers are getting close!) The young sailors have to decide If they want to swim with the tide Or if they want to stay inside Step to the left then to the right They’ll grow on like the must on the fruit Like the rust on the chains, they’ll pollute the truth Once filled with hope that they can change it all And turn the wheels around Still ending up in bars and waiting for the answers to be found What shall we show to be kept away From the gallows and slavery lives And what shall we hide to stay True to our visions and plans to take our own sides Show your love, show what they want to see Hide your heart and hide the things that you want to keep Once you open the doors There’ll be no love waiting Nowhere go No shelter to run to It starts all over Once you open the doors There’ll be no love waiting No place go No place to run to

All I ever wanted Was to have an evil battleship To be a new society’s relentless king And not to give a fuck about anything Everything I wanted Was to be lost and was to be free Catch me with your eyes I’ll be lost into the night for long (Before you realize) We’re identified By the clinkin’ of the knives we hold Oh but that’s only for the nighttime All I ever wanted Was to be on a never-ending holiday trip With a gang of whores and bastards and a couple of drinks Ignoring whatever anyone would think “Mercy me”, he cries He’s not undetected by the lost souls A victim of the crime, The haven heard the terrifying howls Oh but that’s just an event the night hides Soon there everything will be on our side We’re gonna steal all the money from the rich just for fun We’re gonna dance around this ugly town before we see the sun We’re gonna rise above the upper classes with their wealthy stuff We’re gonna disappear again when we had enough Catch me with your eyes I’m here but in a trice I’ll be gone Too severe to die It doesn’t matter how you try It’s over for you, It’s over for you

Bombay Town 03:05
One summer night I walk down to the harbor sipping wine From a bottle that I found The big moon is high It lights up the dark streets of Bombay Town Bad luck for thievish thoughts… Open windows all glowing, with music pouring out Pianos, ukuleles, old guitars Such sultry nights will turn on everyone The colony is having fun Oh, so far from home but happy Tonight no eyelids can go heavy I reach the docks and drop into a bar Named Larry’s Battered Barge Smoke of cigars Obscures the shady faces of the crowd And I hear brattle along shouts Two drunk muggers start fighting over who gets what and why The bartender keenly tries to stop the brawl He say “There’s enough rum for everyone, So let the party go on” But the response doesn’t make him merry A pint of ale flies towards Larry Oh, always full of life, sweet Bombay Town You could never let me down Yet by the dawn I leave you once again for the unknown And that’s where I go wrong But I’m a stowaway bandit and the ocean gets me on The bilge of merchant ships drift me along Oh, but the night is young and I am thirsty Rum will wash away the worry “Larry, pass me one then many!” Lord help me say goodbye sweet, old, vibrant Bombay Town
